The world of building energy efficiency is complex and ever changing with new technologies, programs and market transformation activities happening at increasing speeds. As such, utilities and efficiency organizations are actively working across the country to analyze new technologies and assess new program concepts. The goal of Efficiency Forward is to promote collaboration and transparency by serving as a resource that provides access to information on energy efficiency activities across utilities and efficiency organizations. In doing so, we hope to provide better and faster access to information and enable collaboration and the leveraging of existing information and activities wherever possible. By increasing the availability and use of this information, we hope to enable utilities and efficiency organizations to continue advancing market transformation with new and unique initiatives.
Efficiency Forward is provided and funded through a collaboration between Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Southern California Edison and San Diego Gas and Electric and is maintained by Waypoint Building Group (www.waypointbuilding.com). Waypoint is a technology enabled energy efficiency advisory firm which delivers utility and public programs for the commercial and multifamily real estate sectors.
The initial data collection effort for all current information available through this site was funded by the Lighting Market Transformation Program. The program is funded by California utility customers and is administered by Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Southern California Edison and San Diego Gas and Electric under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission. The outcomes from that project and other lighting market transformation activities can be located www.lightingmarkettransformation.com.
